One reason updates have been slow is that my router/modem have been under non stop cyber attacks for years. The DNS gets routed differently(literal wrong webpages load. I can go to Google and end up on some hack page.). Even thought I have DDWRT on my router, it doesn’t let me go to the ip of the router. I disconnected router and my modem has the same effect. I tried a rental modem from Comcast and four different reps say my account is flagged with something they never seen. The first rental modem didn’t connect via lan. The next one keeps reconfiguring itself so I have to keep talking to Comcast and it’s sending weird DNS signals too. You might think my windows is bad, but this is Linux, and I had a fresh install of Windows too.
I reinstalled Windows over 100 times & I restored Windows over 200 times this past two years.
I don’t know who’s launching cyber attacks at me, but I’m inspecting the packets, services and dns routing. I might figure it out. People go to prison for this so they’re risking a lot launching these illegal attacks.
I’ve lost over 2000 hours of development from this. My dev computer now stays offline.
