Hello Starforgers,
I’m statically making the Solar System, aka Sol our Star system before I generally proc gen the galaxy the rest of the way.
I decided that since it is static, it can be the tutorial mission, but we don’t call it that since it sounds lame so we call it the embarking mission.

The progression will be:
1) Unlock GOPHER tunnels around planet
2) Subwarp to go from planet to planet
3) Warp from system to system

By outlining the missions, I can line it up with progression/patches.
Also the Satellite Trading Buildings should be designed to be relevant.
Before I made the satellite trading buildings, I had to man them with NPCS: So I have added the Memento NPC system: https://www.starfightergeneral.com/2023/05/its-not-ai-its-better-the-memento-npc-system/
NPCs that have personality, emotion in the heat of battle, stats, equipment and history is important for rolling their decision tree… I hope the Memento system ends up being almost like real people would interact sans good dialogue.

The next thing I do is get to work on Client/Server:
1) Put in stations I want.
2) Items
3) leveling
4) Put in the first missions.
I have had tons of house work and it’s been so hot. I barely can get progress, but progress is being had, a non stop fight as I work really hard and fight vs diabetes and scrapin by in a place without water. I feel like I’m winning the battle, but it’s relentless fight. I am not funded like Star Citizen, Eve Online, Or Elite Dangerous, but I have techs and exciting storyline/game play that should easily have me overtake them when I get rollin. I gotta go help my mom with housework though today. So while I do that, in the back of my mind, I think I’ll figure out what first buy/sell/interact stations to make… After you get Ponk/Nametag, The Gopher tunnels to travel around Earth’s orbit will open in the patch after next. Okay I have a mountain top view of my next design, it’s time to finalize and code.
